i downloaded the templates for the sketch board templates (both the thumbnail version & the single page version). they seem like great templates. i have a few questions:
- what size do you print the templates at? 8.5 x 11 seems really small for the thumbnail version to get any clarity, but I’m not sure at what point the large size stops helping?
- do you use “normal” paper? i fine when using Sharpies to sketch on normal computer paper the ink bleeds through, thoughts? -
Hi Scott. Good questions. I print the templates at 8.5 x 11 onto typical copy paper. The thumbnail versions do come out small (6 per page), but I think of this as a good constraint—you only sketch the essentials of the idea and then move on. The basics of your idea can be captured well enough at this small size that you can remember it later or verbally walk someone else through it. Eventually, you’ll choose the best thumbnail ideas and then move on to the full page.
As for the bleeding ink, I have the same issue. I usually just keep something behind the page I’m working on; a piece of trash paper works perfectly well at capturing any extra ink.
